Why free matters

You should not be misled for free and have to pay for the truth.

The truth does not belong behind a paywall.

Independence

The truth is not for sale.

Veratify accepts no advertising money because advertising changes incentives. We do not want a business model that depends on outrage, attention, targeting, or influence.

No ads.
No sponsored verdicts.
No advertiser influence.
The Veratify-True standard

Veratify-True is an evidence standard.

A Veratify-True claim is not a vibe, a preference, a partisan score, or a guess.
It is a factual assertion that survived evidence review against authoritative sources.

100% TRANSPARENT
Transparent by design

You are not being asked to believe Veratify. We show our work.

Every verdict is fully transparent and fully auditable. The user sees the claim, the facts, the sources, and the reasoning. The point is not faith in Veratify. The point is evidence you can inspect yourself.

1 · Claim The article’s central factual claim is identified clearly and shown to the user.
2 · Evidence Primary sources, public records, and high-credibility reporting are gathered and compared.
3 · Verdict The result is shown with the sources and the reasoning so the user can audit it line by line.

No agenda

The truth has no political leaning.

Neither does Veratify.

Evidence is the standard — not ideology, not tribe, not heat.

Veratify tests factual claims against evidence, not against political preference.

What we verify

Authoritative sources.High-credibility reporting.Public evidence.

Veratify verifies factual claims against authoritative sources. It relies on primary materials when available. It uses high-credibility reporting as supporting evidence.Source quality matters.

Source standards

Veratify uses Media Bias/Fact Check credibility data to help screen for the most credible news outlets. It also prioritizes .gov and .mil sites, official releases, public records, and other authoritative primary sources.

Primary sources first Official statements, public records, agency releases, court materials, and other direct evidence carry the most weight.
High-credibility news outlets Media Bias/Fact Check credibility data helps narrow the news sources Veratify relies on for reporting support.
.gov and .mil sources Government and military domains are treated as key authoritative sources when they bear directly on the factual claim.
What Veratify tells you

Veratify says what the evidence supports — and what it does not.

When Veratify can verify a claim, we tell you so. When Veratify cannot verify a claim, we tell you so. When a claim is partially true, we give you the full information. When we do not know, we tell you so.

CredibleThe evidence supports the factual claim in every material detail.
Partially trueSome material facts are supported, but context, scope, or key details require clarification.
×
Likely falseThe best available evidence contradicts the factual claim or makes it materially unlikely to be true.
?
Cannot verifySome claims cannot be verified because the evidence does not exist, is not public, or cannot settle the question.
!
Plainly stated uncertaintyVeratify does not fill the gap with confidence. It tells you plainly what it can and what it cannot verify.
What Veratify will not do

Veratify will not be used to advance hatred.

Veratify refuses to check, sanitize, or amplify hate speech. We decline content that traffics in slurs or targets people for who they are, rather than evaluating a factual claim.

No hate speech laundering.
No slurs as “claims.”
No targeting people for who they are.
Methodology

What Veratify does not adjudicate.
